Prairie Spirit School Division Celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day

Prairie Spirit School Division marked National Indigenous Peoples Day with a special program to tell the Division’s story of learning and growing in the area of Indigenous perspectives, partnerships and outcomes. The theme for the program, held at the Division Office in Warman on June 20, was: mamawi wuskwiytan – Moving Forward Together! The program included students from Stobart Community School, Hague High School and Rosthern Community School. Other special guests included representatives of the many local partners who work with Prairie Spirit in this area, as well as Board of Education Trustees and Division Office staff.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
