Families are invited to get outside, explore Martensville's parks, and enjoy a variety of free activities this summer through the City's Grow & Go Outdoor Club, sponsored by the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association.
The free drop-in program takes place every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, beginning in July and running through August and will offer a different activity and location each week.
Led by a Summer Coordinator, the program encourages children and their parents or caregivers to discover the many parks, playgrounds, and recreational amenities Martensville has to offer while spending quality time together outdoors.
The program kicked off on Wednesday, July 22nd, at the Martensville Spray Park, and the July 29th session will take place at the MAP for Parent & Tot Try-It Gymnastics.
Each week brings a new opportunity for fun, learning, and exploration, with activities ranging from gymnastics and storytime to crafts and outdoor play.
The remaining Grow & Go Outdoor Club schedule includes:
• August 5: Muddles Storytime at Andrea's Park
• August 12: Parent & Tot Try-It Gymnastics at MAP
• August 19: Crafts in the Park at Dallas Martens Park
• August 26: Play Packs at Venture Heights
“We are so excited to be able to offer this program to the community, and hope families take advantage of the opportunity to get out and experience some of the amazing parks and facilities that we have in the community,” Jamie McCulloch, City of Martensville Recreation Coordinator, stated.
