Northbound traffic on Highway 12 has been slowed to a crawl after a semi-trailer that was hauling a grain bin struck the bottom of the Martensville overpass. A convoy of semi-trailers with grain bins were heading North on Highway 12 when the lead vehicle impacted with the overpass, causing the grain bin to be completely destroyed. The following vehicles were able to see the incident and stop prior to the overpass. The newly opened overpass sustained minor damage due to the impact.
Debris and traffic cones can be seen strewn about on the roadway as crew’s ensured traffic slowed throughout the area.
Multiple RCMP officers quickly made their way to the scene.
