The Graham Women of Distinction Awards 2024 was held in Saskatoon on Thursday, May 30th, an annual event held to celebrate local women’s achievements, across industry, culture and public service.
Among the award recipients was Katherine Carter of Carter’s Counselling Services in Martensville, who was awarded the Business & Entrepreneurship Award.
“When I founded Carter’s Counselling Services, my vision was to create an inclusive and accessible space where individuals could find the support they need to thrive. Over the past three years, we have expanded from a small practice of me to a team of 13 dedicated professionals. This growth has been fueled by our shared mission to offer affordable and accessible mental health services to everyone, regardless of their financial situation,” Carter stated in a shared excerpt from her speech.
“This award is not just recognition of our past accomplishments but a motivator for our future endeavors. We will continue to innovate, push boundaries, and strive for excellence in all that we do. Our commitment to accessibility, community involvement, and empowering others remains at the heart of our mission.”
