A 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old male are facing several charges following an incident that occurred in Saskatoon along the riverbank earlier this month.
The two males are facing sexual assault, voyeurism and child pornography charges after Saskatoon Police were called to Royal University Hospital on June 8 where a 15-year-old female was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the report given to Police, the girl had been picked up from her home around midnight on June 7th and taken to a location along the riverbank. Here, she was encouraged to consume alcohol and then allegedly sexually assaulted by two males and left at the location in a vulnerable state. Some time later, she was discovered by a passerby who called for help. The girl has since recovered from her physical injuries.
Investigators with the SPS Child Centre believe there may be other girls or women in the community who have been victimized in a similar way. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
