The Saskatoon Police Service General Investigation Section is investigating two incidents in which customers using an ATM at two different financial institutions were robbed at knife point on the same day.
The first incident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m., November 3, 2018, at an ATM vestibule in the 100 block of 1st Avenue South. The male suspect, armed with a paring knife, waited until the 63 year old female victim was using the ATM and then threatened her with the knife and knocked her to the ground. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The second incident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. when the same male suspect entered an ATM vestibule in the 2800 block of 8th Street East and threatened a 43 year old female victim with a machete before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
In each incident the women did not suffer physical injuries.
The suspect is described as 5’10” in height with a slim build. He was wearing the same red and grey running shoes during both incidents. He was also wearing a dark grey hoodie, black pants and a black ball cap with a curved brim. He had a purple paisley bandanna covering his face.
