The Martensville & District Lions Club consists of a group of dedicated individuals that work tirelessly throughout the year to help a wide array of groups and individuals throughout Martensville and the surrounding communities.
This holiday season, the local Lions Club has been spreading joy to help others in need. A cheque for $1000 was presented to Captain James Taylor or the Martensville Fire Department. “The donation was for the Martensville Fire Department’s annual Christmas Cheer program to provide families in need with a basket of goodies and gifts for the kids,” Lions Club Secretary Doug Ward stated.
In addition, the Lions Club also donated a cheque for $1000 to Dionne Miazdyck of Haven Kids House of Saskatoon. “Dionne made a presentation to the club explaining the service they provide to families in need during extraordinary and/or difficult times,” Ward explained.
