The Martensville Fire Department will be hosting their annual open house on Wednesday, October 9th from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
The MFD will be serving up a BBQ supper, which will begin at 5pm, and while there, be sure to take the opportunity to meet your local firefighters, view the various equipment and apparatus within the fire hall and view a demonstration that will be taking place following supper.
Each year, the MFD hosts the open house to correspond with Fire Prevention Week, which will take place from October 6-12 this year. The theme for this year is “Smoke Alarms: Make them Work for You”, which is an important reminder to ensure you have working smoke alarms within your home in the event of a fire.
The MFD is currently looking for dedicated individuals to help serve the community and will be hosting a recruitment information night on October 30th. More information on this will be shared later this month via the ‘Martensville Fire Department’ social media pages.
