Royals Chosen for All Star Team

by Jocelyn Ottenbreit

Two of Martensville’s former Maddog football players, who went on to play an incredible high school career with the Martensville Royals Football Club have now been chosen to play in the Sask 9-man All Star Team in Melville.

Chase Lepage and Brody Dyck will be playing in the Challenge Cup in Melville on May 23rd against Manitoba. Challenge Cup is a 9-Man A-side Football All-Star Game between Manitoba & Saskatchewan that was first established in 2019.

Lepage, a defensive back and kicker, received Special Teams Player of the Year for the 2020-2021 Martensville High School (MHS) Royals Highschool Football season, and Dyck, defensive and offensive lineman, took home the Lineman of the Year Award.

Dyck will be a defensive lineman for Saskatchewan and Lepage will be defensive back. Congratulations to both players and Good Luck!
