Martensville Farmer’s Market Going Strong

by Jocelyn Ottenbreit

The Martensville Farmer’s Market has been going strong since the middle of May this year running every Wednesday from 10am – 2pm in the parking lot of the Martensville Corner Store (across from Canadian Tire).

So far this season there have been anywhere from 10 – 14 vendors each week with a variety of options to shop for such as; fruits, vegetables, pottery, jewelry, candles, honey wine, meat products, and much more.

This is the second year that the Martensville Farmer’s Market is in this location, and organizer Marjan Petter, who is also a vendor at the market, stated that last year saw much success and traffic, and this year has been no different.

“The market is going great this year, with a nice variety of vendors/products. This Wednesday (August 4) there will be a vendor with fresh farm eggs as well as honey that will be available.”

Another local farmer’s market option is in Warman, which is located at the Legend’s Centre parking lot on Thursday’s from 2pm-6pm.

This years’ Farmer’s Market will go until September 29th. For updates and further information about the Martensville Farmer’s Market visit them on Facebook, call (306) 260-7395 or email petterfarms@gmail.com.
