The City of Martensville recognized the local individuals that put in countless hours to keep local programs running within the community at their annual Volunteer Appreciation BBQ on April 15th.
The event welcomed approximately 125 attendees representing 14 different user groups from across the city’s various local service groups.
Held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the North Ridge Community Centre, the evening provided an opportunity for these groups and individuals to come together and celebrate their contributions to the community and enjoy a free BBQ that was provided by the City.
Several members of City Council were also in attendance, showing their support and appreciation for the contributions made by volunteers throughout Martensville.
The event highlighted the important role volunteers play in the community, helping to support programs and initiatives that contribute to the city’s active and connected lifestyle.
