As of Tuesday, November 14th at 11am, Martensville officially has a new food option available to them. Pita Pit Express, located in the Martensville Athletic Pavilion has opened their doors to the public and was greeted with enthusiastic and hungry patrons from the area.
Hours of operation will be from 11am-2pm and 5pm-8pm every day of the week. As an opening incentive to the public, Pita Pit Express Martensville presented a free platter worth $100 for one lucky winner that ‘liked’ and ‘shared’ their Facebook post. Additionally, as a way to get the community included in their new location, Pita Pit Express offered local residents the chance to “build their ultimate pita” to see if it made it onto the local menu and as of December 1st, they will announce their newest addition, the “Marauder Pita”.
A Grand Opening celebration will be taking place Saturday, November 25th beginning at 11am and throughout the day, each pita sold, Pita Pit Express will donate $1 to the Martensville Community Recreation Project.
The Pita Pit Express Martensville location will be offering up freshly made pitas, fruit bowls, fresh salads, smoothies and even gluten free options. “Our priority is to serve our high school students and athletes with healthy options,” the business said via their Facebook page. Catering options will be available as well.
Running as a Pita Pit Express location, owner/operator Trisha Girard is able to provide the fresh, healthy food options to high school students, those attending the MAP, and the general public, with a smaller menu capable of being offered within the location. “Pitas will be made fresh every day; however, since we don’t have a grill within that location, we won’t be able to offer the same menu options that we have within other locations. Instead, we will offer a convenient place for people to pick up a healthier option for a quick meal,” Girard explained.
