The Martensville Library always has lots to offer the community and is kicking off their winter season with lots of great programming for all ages.
To help support all of the events and programs that are offered by the local library, the Martensville Tim Horton’s location will be donating proceeds from their Holiday Smile Cookie Week, taking place from November 18-24 to the Martensville Library.
“We are so excited about this news and are proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient for the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie fundraiser. Community members can show their support by purchasing cookies throughout the week,” Librarian Marla Skomar stated.
Crafternoon takes place Wednesday, November 13th at 2:00pm and Wednesday, December 11th at 2:00pm. This is a drop-in adult craft program where local residents are invited to bring their craft projects along to work on and visit with others in the community that enjoy crafting.
Each week, the local library features a Take & Make craft, with this week’s craft (November 12-16) being a superhero puppet. Stop in at the library to get yours quickly, as they are only available as supplies last.
Wiggles & Giggles Storytime is for ages 1-3 and their caregivers and takes place on Fridays at 10:30am. This is a drop-in program that includes songs, fingerplays and a small story followed by playtime.
Books & Babies is kicking off a new session, beginning November 26th and 27th. There will be a Tuesday session and a Wednesday session, and it is free to join. The program consists of four-weeks for babies up to one year and their caregivers.
It can help develop early literacy skills through rhyme, stories, songs and socialization. Registration is required, so be sure to sign up early as classes fill up fast. There will be more sessions offered in the New Year, with programs beginning in January, February, April and May. There is a maximum of 14 spots available for each session, so contact the library at (306) 956-7311 to register early.
There is always something new available at the Martensville Library, so be sure to follow them on Facebook, or stop in to see what kind of programs are taking place.
