The opening day for our provinces’ first indoor puppy playground is right around the corner and located in our very own city! Martensville will soon be home to Pup’s Playground, located at 517 9th Street North and opening on September 4th. The industrial warehouse is currently undergoing internal renovations that will allow for 3,600 square feet of padded space on the inside and 6,000 square feet of outdoor space for full-time use. Pup’s Playground will primarily be offering doggy daycare services from Monday to Friday at 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and in late October pups will have the option to escape the cold for some seasonal indoor play that will be offered through to April. “One of our major business attributes is our Transparency offering. Unlike other daycares in and around Saskatoon, we will be implementing a big, 10 foot window looking directly into the dog park. This will ensure dog owners of the care that goes into providing a safe and enjoyable environment for their dogs,” said owner of Pup’s Playground, Kristin Brewer. The Transparency offering is a business’ way of showing openness and honesty with no parts of the business to hide.

Also offered at Pup’s Playground will be daily report cards for each pup that is dropped off in the morning, noting behaviours during their time in daycare. Pup’s Playground will be accepting up to 50 dogs during its first year of operation. Two exciting partnerships are adding to the hype as Pup’s Playground nears completion. Critter’s Pet Health store in Saskatoon has paired up with Pup’s Playground in order to supply toys and dog foods at the business. Martensville’s Paw’s Republic will also be joining forces with Pup’s Playground as a means for a discounted price for entry into the indoor playground for those boarding with Paw’s. A shuttle service will be utilized between the two businesses that will allow dogs under the care of Paw’s Republic with a chance to socialize and exercise on the grounds of Pup’s Playground.
Given that September 4th is the Grand Opening Day, the team at Pup’s Playground will be extending the Grand Opening celebrations to September 8th. During this week, Pup’s Playground will be allowing drop-in services for those wishing to try out the facility, and in the mail Martensville residents should receive a free day-pass for daycare services. For more information about prices and admission requirements for these services, please visit pupsplayground.net or the Pup’s Playground Facebook page.
