On Monday, July 18th, the Martensville Fire Department responded to a call regarding a collision between an SUV and motorcycle at the intersection of Highway 12 and Lutheran Road. Two individuals were involved and Medavie was on scene to transport one patient to hospital with serious injuries.
“Motorists need to take extra caution when driving, especially at busy intersections that can have blind spots such as this one. It is important to ensure you know it is safe before attempting to cross the highway, as it can be difficult to see oncoming traffic when vehicles are turning right onto Lutheran Road from Highway 12. Take the extra time to make sure there is no traffic coming and be sure to obey the speed limit, it is worth slowing down sometimes,” Fire Chief Kurtis Dyck stated.
