MCRP To Host Family Fun Run

On August 27th the Martensville Community Recreation Project (MCRP) is hosting the Tune Up For Fall (TUFF) family fun run. It is a great opportunity for people in Martensville to celebrate the end of summer and the start of autumn by getting active in our city. Each participant will receive a free t-shirt with their entry fee into the TUFF run. This event also kicks off the MCRP’s annual 3 on 3 fall hockey tournament.

The MCRP wanted to make sure that there is an opportunity for everyone to participate so there are 3 different race options available, a 2 km, 5km and 10 km race. All races will start and end at the Martensville Sports Centre. The first race is the 10 km and it starts at 9:00am followed by the 5 km 30 minutes later. The final event will be the 2 km race beginning at 10 am. The 5 km and 10 km routes showcase our city’s great walking paths around Kinsmen Park. After the race there will be opportunities to refuel from different food trucks who will be present at the event.

A huge thank you to our sponsors to date, Soul Power Fitness, Doctors Vision Care, Martensville Messenger, and Precision Sounds DJ service.

Proceeds from this event will go to support the MCRP goal of raising funds and awareness for a new multipurpose recreation facility in our city.

To register for this event and to check out more events put on by the MCRP go to our new website www.mcrp.ca.
