The Martensville Community Recreation Project (MCRP) has been instrumental in the process of bringing a new multi-purpose recreation facility to the community. Throughout the past five years the MCRP has held numerous fundraisers to help raise money towards this project such as their annual hockey draft, 3 on 3 tournament, TUFF Run and cabaret/dance.
Currently, work is being completed on their newest fundraiser, a Community House Build located on the corner of 4th Street South and MacCormack Road. The exterior of the home is almost complete, with the interior well on its way.
Once completed, the home will be put on the market for sale with proceeds going towards the new recreational facility which will be located west of Highway 12 across the overpass.
This project was successful due to the support from local businesses and individuals that donated material and labour to the build.
