The Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce (PSCC) is celebrating Valentine’s Day in a unique way this year. As part of their ‘Love What’s Local’ initiative, they are holding a contest that will run from February 1st to 13th.

“Part of the Love What’s Local initiative is to showcase our local businesses, promote them and encourage people within the region to shop local. We decided to reach out to a variety of our Chamber members to see if they would be interested in donating a minimum of $25 towards a gift card to participate, and anyone that shops at any of the participating businesses throughout the contest and spends a minimum of $25 will have their name entered to win the gift cards that are valued at over $600,” Jaimie Malmgren, PSCC Executive Director, explained.

Make a purchase at participating businesses, or stop by the PSCC office, located at 101 Klassen Street W – Unit 2 in Warman, for a free ballot, to enter to win over $600 in gift cards. In the end, one winner will be chosen and will be awarded with a variety of gift cards from stores that offer home décor items, clothing, esthetics, pet items, pharmacy and much more.

“Our local businesses not only employ local people, but they also contribute to a lot of different organizations throughout the region. They are really the lifeline to how strong and vibrant our communities are and it is really important to support our local businesses. Through this initiative, we hope that people will be able to learn about the wide variety of options that are available within the region,” Malmgren added.
