Kinettes Hosting Family Bingo to Support TeleMiracle

by Shanine Sealey

The Martensville & District Kinette Club is always finding new ways to help support TeleMiracle, and this weekend, they are hosting what is sure to be a fantastic event – Family Bingo!

Everyone is encouraged to come out and take part in this fun-filled event on Sunday, February 9th with doors opening at 1:00pm, and bingo kicking off at 2:00pm at the Brian King Centre in Warman.

This is the 5th year that local Kinette Club is hosting this event, which was previously a ‘Toy Bingo’. The event was modified this year to better accommodate families with a wide array of prizes available that were donated by local businesses. The main prize this year is a $400 gift certificate from Hotels.com.

Be sure to load up the family, grab some cash (there is no ATM on site), and prepare for an exciting afternoon of bingo. There will be seven games of bingo, as well as a 50/50 draw, two games of heads or tails, and a concession stand available with an assortment of snacks.

Booklets for bingo can be purchased at the door with one for $10, or three for $25. There will also be dabbers available for $5.

This event has seen considerable growth throughout the years, growing from approximately 80 attendees the first year, to over 200 bingo players last year.

All proceeds from this event will go towards TeleMiracle 49, which will take place in Saskatoon on March 1st and 2nd at Prairieland Park. Watch for the Martensville & District Kinette Club, who will be making an online presentation during the two-day fundraiser. The public is invited to attend TeleMiracle at no cost; however, donations will be accepted. For more details, visit telemiracle.com.

“Thank you to everyone that donated prizes to help make this event a success,” Amanda Arneson, Martensville & District Kinette Club TeleMiracle Chair, said. “This is a family-oriented event, so we encourage people of all ages to come out and have a fun afternoon with your friends and family and help us support a great cause.”
