Impaired Driver Call Leads to Multiple Drugs and Weapons Charges

On February 5, 2021, Corman Park Police Service responded to a 911 call of an impaired driver on Highway 14. According to CPPS, the suspect vehicle was located and stopped by CPSS, as well as RM of Vanscoy Police.

Through the impaired driving investigation, it was found that the driver was in possession of illegal controlled substance and was therefore arrested. Through a search of the vehicle, officers located 279 grams of Methamphetamine, 425ml of Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (AKA: date rape), 10 oxycodone pills and a large amount of cash. Some of the drugs were hidden inside panels in compartments. The estimated value of the drugs is $8000.

The subject was transported to the Martensville RCMP detachment and has been charged with multiple drug trafficking and weapon offences and was remanded to appear in court on Monday, February 8th. The vehicle was seized.
