Accident Claims the Life of 31-Year-Old Female

Tragedy unfolded at the intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 305 on Wednesday, March 16th after a two-vehicle collision involving a northbound car with a single female driver and a southbound truck with a male driver and male passenger just before 5pm took the life of a 31-year-old woman. The driver and passenger of the truck were both uninjured.

Emergency crews including the Martensville Fire Department, Corman Park Police, Warman RCMP and Medavie Ambulance attended the accident and after members of the MFD extracted the female driver from one of the vehicles, STARS Air Ambulance arrived on scene to transport the female to Royal University Hospital. Her indentity has not been released at this time. The two males were not injured in the truck.

Traffic was rerouted for both northbound and southbound motorists for approximately five hours as experts investigated the cause of the collision, with the highway re-opening at approximately 11pm that night.
