Skate Martensville is closing out a strong season while already looking ahead, offering skaters and families plenty of reasons to stay involved on the ice well into the spring.
The club is inviting the community to its annual ice show, Hollywood Stars on Ice, set for Sunday, March 29th at 2:00pm at the Martensville Recreation Centre. The show will feature performances inspired by the glamour of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with skaters of all levels taking part, including CanSkate participants, STARSkaters, and synchronized skating teams.
The event promises an entertaining afternoon for all ages, with additional highlights including a 50/50 draw, raffle prizes, and flowers available for purchase.
The ice show comes on the heels of a successful competition season, including a strong showing at the 2026 Living Skies SynchroSkate Invitational this past weekend. Skate Martensville’s synchronized skating teams delivered impressive results, with Magic earning a second-place finish, Majestics taking second, and Momentum capturing third. Mirage also delivered a solid performance in their category. Beyond podium finishes, the club noted the athletes’ sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication as key highlights of the weekend.
As the competitive season wraps up, Skate Martensville is encouraging skaters to keep building their skills through its spring programming. Running from early April through late June, sessions are available for PreSTAR, STARSkate, and Adult skaters, offering a mix of structured and flexible options.
Open ice sessions will take place Mondays from 5:15pm to 7:15pm, including a coach-led stroking session at the end of each skate, as well as Thursdays from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. For those interested in synchronized skating, coached sessions will be held every other Thursday evening throughout the spring.
