Santa Visit a Success

The Martensville & District Kinette Club toured the City of Martensville with Santa Claus on Saturday, December 10^th for their third year. Members of the Martensville Fire Department, and Sparky also joined in on the festivities. Two stops were made, one at North Hills Park (Mini Mountain) and the second at Lions Park.

“We were well received with numerous families stopping by for their pictures with Santa,” Bernice Symak of the Kinette Club stated.

This event would not be possible without the support of sponsors, which include Gold Sponsors -Freeway Delivery Service and Martensville Building & Home Supply; Silver Sponsors – Flex Realty (Bernice & Ken Symak), Ayotte Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, TR Petroleum, Country Asphalt, Affinity Credit Union Martensville and Ens Toyota.

“Their support is greatly appreciated. We also wish to thank the Martensville Fire Department for once again joining us. Also, thank you to everyone that stopped by with donations,” Symak added.

All photos were taken by donation, and in total $1,900 was raised for TeleMiracle 47.

Shanine Sealey

Shanine Sealey has always had a passion for reading and writing. Growing up with a librarian for a mother, and working in a library as her first job at age 15, that passion continued to grow. After moving to Martensville in 2006 and working at the StarPhoenix for several years, Shanine was given the opportunity to join the team at the Martensville Messenger in 2011. From there, she fell in love with the world of newspapers. In 2014, Shanine and her co-worker Jocelyn Ottenbreit decided to purchase the Martensville Messenger, as they both felt it was an important part of the community and they wanted to continue its legacy within the City. Shanine has had the opportunity to meet so many amazing members of this community because of the Martensville Messenger, which is something that she is extremely grateful for. Her responsibilities include; reporting on local news, weekly production of the newspaper and day to day operations within the business.
