Rosthern RCMP Investigating Vehicle Collision

Around 6:30 p.m. on April 20, 2024, Rosthern RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver of a black truck, driving in a yard near Highway #312 east of Waldheim, Sk.

Responding officers located the truck parked on a roadway near where the original report came in. RCMP officers activated their vehicle’s emergency equipment and the vehicle fled down Highway #312 at a high rate of speed. The officer notified other officers of the truck’s direction of travel.

Around 7:00 p.m. on April 20, Rosthern RCMP received a report of a collision at the intersection of Highway #312 and #11, involving a grey truck and the black truck from the previous report. The passenger and driver of the grey truck were transported to hospital with injuries and the lone driver of the black truck was transported to hospital with what were described as serious injuries. He has been identified as a 36-year-old male and remains in hospital.

Rosthern Detachment continues to investigate.
