The Martensville Fire Department hosted their annual Open House as part of Fire Prevention week on Wednesday, October 11th from 5 pm to 7 pm. At the event, they provided tours of the fire trucks, kids activities, a delicious BBQ of hot dogs and hamburgers, and performed a live demonstration. The demonstration featured two rooms, one with a fire sprinkler system and one without. In the end, they educated those in attendance of how much of a difference a sprinkler system can make in a fire, with that room showing minimal damages, while the other had extensive damage. Thank you to the MFD for all that you do for our community.
Saturday, October 21st is an opportunity to show the local emergency services your support at the Protective Services Gala. You can still donate to this incredible cause by contacting (306) 380-6787.
