Local Kinette Club Looks For New Ways to Raise Funds

written by guest May 27, 2020

The Martensville & District Kinette Club will be doing a bottle drive on Thursday May 28th from 5pm to 9pm to help raise funds for their organization.

This idea was created following the loss of numerous fundraising opportunities due to COVID-19 restrictions being put in place, and because the group is fairly new, they do not have a large reserve of funding.

“We have lost out on a lot of fundraising opportunities due to COVID-19, and our club needs your help so we can continue to serve the community’s greatest needs,” Jodi Martens, Martensville & District Kinette Club President, explained. “We put our heads together and came up with a creative solution to help ease our financial concerns.”

The group is requesting that those that are interested in donating bottles and cans to their fundraiser leave items outside for them to pick up, so they can maintain physical distancing and keep everyone safe.

If you would like to contribute, you can contact the ‘Martensville and District Kinette Club’ on Facebook, or call Jodi at (306) 361-9575. Alternatively you can drop your bottles and cans at 101 Hiebert Crescent.

“The Martensville and District Kinettes would like to thank our communities for the support thus far in our first year,” added Martens.
