Get Active This June with the ParticipACTION Community Challenge at the MAP

Looking for a fun, free way to get active with friends and family this June? Visit the MAP every Monday and Wednesday for the ParticipACTION Community Challenge: Learn to Play events.

Each session offers a chance to try out a new sport in a supportive, community-focused environment. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking to get moving, there’s something for everyone, and it’s all completely free.

June Event Lineup
• June 4: Learn to Play Basketball, led by coaches from the Martensville Thunder Basketball team.
• June 9 & 11: Learn to Play Pickleball, coached by Margie. (Pre-registration required)
• June 12: Learn to Play Disc Golf, with Escape Sports and one of Saskatchewan’s top players, Brandon.
• June 16: Learn to Play Ball Hockey, led by instructor Reis at Valley Manor School.
• June 18: Learn to Play – Sport TBD
• June 23: Learn to Play Volleyball, led by instructor Peyton.
• June 25: Learn to Play Outdoor Soccer, in partnership with Valley United Soccer Club at Chrome Dome Field.
• June 30: Canada Day Eve MAP Frenzy – All ages, all sports, all fun! Come out before the Canada Day movie for a celebration of movement.

The ParticipACTION Community Challenge is a national initiative aimed at getting everyone in Canada moving throughout June. The community that logs the most activity could be crowned Canada’s Most Active Community and win $100,000 to support local sport and physical activity programs.
