Saskatoon Co-op’s annual Fuel Good Day is taking place today, Tuesday, September 16th, giving residents an easy way to support local causes simply by filling up their tanks. For every litre of fuel purchased at Co-op gas bars, five cents was donated to community organizations across the region.
In Martensville, funds raised at the Martensville Co-op Gas Bar will go towards supporting Kidsport in Warman, Martensville and the surrounding area.
KidSport helps children aged 5 to 18 overcome financial barriers to participate in organized sports. Serving Warman, Martensville, Dalmeny, Osler and Langham, the chapter provides grants of up to $750 per child each year to cover registration fees, ensuring every child has the chance to play. Their work relies heavily on volunteers, fundraising efforts, and community partnerships, making Fuel Good Day a vital boost.
You can also support KidSport through the 50/50 raffle that is currently taking place, with tickets available at locations throughout the community such as the Martensville Athletic Pavilion, A&W and more. A grand prize of up to $2,500 will be drawn on October 1st.
Fuel Good Day continues to be more than just a fundraising event; it’s a way for neighbours to come together and make a tangible difference in their own communities.
