Pickleball players are invited to ring in the new year with friendly competition as the Martensville Pickleball Tournament returns on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Hosted at the Martensville Athletic Pavilion (MAP), the one-day tournament features a round-robin, mixed doubles format with no tiering. Players register individually and rotate partners and opponents throughout the day, ensuring a dynamic and social playing experience. Every participant is guaranteed four games, with top-performing players advancing to the finals.
The tournament offers three divisions to accommodate a range of skill levels and age groups, including 54 and Under, 55+, and an All Ages Advanced category. Whether participants are new to competitive play or seasoned players looking for a challenge, the event is designed to offer both fun and meaningful competition.
“We are looking forward to bringing this tournament back to the community and are excited to see everyone come out for a fun-filled day of pickleball. We invite everyone to come out and either participate, or cheer on the players,” Jamie McCulloch, City of Martensville Recreation Program Coordinator, stated.
Registration is open now and will close on January 5, 2026. The cost to participate is $20 per player, with an optional lunch available for $9. Players can register online through martensville.ca or by calling 306-683-5576, extension 0.
Organizers are also seeking community sponsors to support the event. Sponsorship opportunities include a Title Sponsorship for $500, which includes logo placement on all promotional materials and two tournament entries; a Lunch Sponsorship for $250, which includes promotional recognition and naming rights to the lunchroom; and a Game Ball Sponsorship for $150, which includes logo placement as the Game Ball Sponsor.
The Martensville Pickleball Tournament continues to be a popular annual event, bringing players together for a full day of activity, sportsmanship, and community connection. Those interested are encouraged to register early, as spots are limited.
