Vanscoy Accident Claims Life of Seventeen Year Old

Warman RCMP responded to an accident that took place on January 2nd on Highway #7 at the west exit of Vanscoy that claimed the life of a seventeen year old male passenger when a pickup truck collided with a transport truck. The name of the teen has not been released.

The driver of the truck, a 17-year-old female was taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon with undetermined injuries.

A traffic analyst was called to the scene and both west bound and east bound lanes of the highway were closed for approximately 8 hours while an investigation took place. Police stated that the investigation will continue to determine the cause of the collision and whether any charges will be laid.
