The Saskatchewan Fever Senior Ladies Slo-pitch team is off to St. Bruno, Quebec for Nationals August 14-19. This championship will showcase the highest caliber men’s and women’s slo-pitch teams in Canada. The team, coached by Shane Schiebelbein and Scott Sawin consists of 16 ladies from Saskatchewan. Stacey Blixt, Darla Schiebelbein, and Deb Weber are from Martensville as well as coach Shane Schiebelbein. The team played a few exhibition games and participated in tournaments in Calgary, Bismark, ND, and Saskatoon to get ready for the championship.
There are 13 teams at nationals from BC, SK, MB, NB, NS with two from AB and QC, and four from ON. The team has 10 round robin games Monday through Thursday with playoffs starting Friday. Good luck to Team Saskatchewan Fever.
