Paws Republic Helps Bring Awareness to Available Cats For Adoption

by Shanine Sealey

Paws Republic Centre for Pets often provides temporary foster care for cats through SCAT Street Cat Rescue out of Saskatoon. According to Becky Preiner of Paws Republic, they also provide care for cats that are scared or feral so they can help rehabilitate them and get them ready to be adopted.

Currently, Paws Republic is housing cat brothers Novelty and Nuance, who were dropped off on a farm before being taken to SCAT.

The two cats are between 2 and 5 years old and have shy personalities at first; however, once they warm up to you, are little bundles of love that want nothing more than a nice head scratch.

“They are both quite shy, with Nuance being a little more reserved, but once they realize that you are the one giving them food, water and love, they will be your best friend. Neither one has proven to be super cuddly yet, but that could change as we are seeing them come out of their shells more and more each day,” Preiner said.
Both Novelty and Nuance are currently available for adoption and are neutered, up to date on their shots and microchipped. All they need now is a loving home, which they can either go to together, or to separately.

For more information on how you can adopt Novelty and/or Nuance, visit SCAT online at www.streetcat.ca/adopt.
