Brennan Luffman was a baseball pitcher for the Weyburn Beavers and was also a member of Team Saskatchewan from 2003 to 2005. As well as playing the game he loved, Luffman coached minor baseball and instructed at youth baseball camps. There has been a scholarship set aside by the Luffman family and Baseball Saskatchewan for those that wish to enhance their baseball opportunities. The family had a slo-pitch tournament, cabaret, and golf tournament to raise the initial money for the fund to aid other passionate sports athletes in order to help them pursue their own passions in the form of a scholarship in Brennan’s name.
This year Adlai Muench of Martensville was the proud recipient of the Brennan Luffman Memorial Scholarship, which is chosen by the Luffman family and Baseball Saskatchewan. Muench played his midget years with the Saskatoon AAA Giants baseball team in the SPBL and also played with Team Saskatchewan. Muench was scouted as one of the top 30 baseball prospects in the province. He is attending high school at Bishop Mahoney and wishes to pursue post secondary education that will also provide him an opportunity to continue playing baseball. This scholarship will help him continue playing the game he loves as well as obtaining an education in physio therapy. Congratulations to Adlai Muench, winner of the Brennan Luffman Memorial Scholarship.
