In a release received from McDonald’s Canada, it was stated that on November 8, an employee from the Martensville McDonald’s location reported that they tested positive for COVID-19.
The decision to close the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitization was made immediately and will be done through a certified third party. “We are working to ensure we reopen safely, as we know our guests depend on their local McDonald’s and we are committed to doing our part to help our communities,” the statement said.
All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available. The employee worked their last shift on November 4 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
For guests that visited the restaurant on November 4th, McDonald’s Canada recommends following directions from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
“We continue to work with local health authorities to support our people and our guests, and look forward to getting back to serving our community as soon as we can.”
