Martensville Man Facing Multiple Child Pornography Charges Following Search Warrant Findings

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged man from Martensville, Saskatchewan, with three child pornography offences in relation to a November 2018 complaint regarding the uploading of child pornography to a popular social media website. On January 17, 2019 members of the Saskatchewan ICE Unit and Martensville RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Martensville where numerous devices and child pornography were seized.

Dale Edward Blair, age 32, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography – Sec. 163.1(4) CC, and one count of make available child pornography – Sec. 163.1(3) CC. He was on day parole in relation to previous child pornography offences, which has been revoked, and is scheduled to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Saskatoon on Friday, January 18 at 9:30 a.m.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
