Due to increased volumes in traffic, the City of Martensville recently made changes to Centennial Drive North in Martensville, which included the addition of a cross-walk and removing all parking on the street.
According to City of Martensville Director of Infrastructure and Planning Matt Gruza, these changes were made following a recent engineering study that was completed for Centennial Drive to help improve safety.
The mid-block pedestrian crosswalk was installed earlier this summer between Main Street and 3rd Street North on a trial basis and Gruza noted that it will be reviewed before a permanent crossing is installed.
